PARTICIPANTS
Anyone with an interest in AUIs or Smart Environments may attend -
it is not necessary to submit a workshop paper in order to attend
but people who do, will get priority. To encourage workshop discussion
and interaction there are a limited number of places, so early registration is recommended.
PRIMARY / SECONDARY AUDIENCE
- Researchers building AUIs and AUI applications.
- Researchers building Smart Environment and Smart Environment applications.
- Those interested in AUI or Smart Environment Technology.
WORKSHOP OUTCOMES
The workshop will build around the dominant themes of submitted papers (see "Workshop Format").
At the end of the workshop, participants should have a broad understanding of the
differing technologies involved in the production, development and directing of
AUI systems and applications.
They will have seen several AUI systems and will understand the problems associated with the technology.
They will have contributed, through discussion, to the future development of individual AUI interfaces within
the global context. They will also become part of a network of AUI researchers and practitioners.
